Join us on September 2nd for our last Portland outdoor Serenade of the year. We are excited to feature chef, butcher, forager, and farmer; Karl Holl of Spatzle and Speck . Karl Holl’s style and philosophy of cooking are intricately tied to the land. Along with his farmer brother, Alex Holl, Karl grows and raises the majority of what he cooks, with menus driven by the seasons and what his farm produces. This is the epitome of farm to table cooking, and we can’t wait to celebrate so many elements of this feast that he created, grew or raised.
Continuing the sibling power duos, it is our pleasure to feature the Shook Twins Trio. Identical twins Katelyn Shook, and Laurie Shook are joined by Niko Daoussis, in this paired down acoustic version of their full band. Based in Portland, they combine twin harmonies layered on top of acoustic instrumentation, creating an eclectic and eccentric blend of folk, roots, pop, and fun. The Shook Twins have been making music together their whole lives, fostering a unique style and partnership that only sharing a womb can create.
As a final accompaniment to the evening, it is our honor to once again feature Suzor Wines. Their wines showcase singular expressions of each vintage and result in evocative, layered and vibrant Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Suzor’s wines will beautifully complement our feast and be a delicious farewell to summer.
